Hotel accommodation excels at the Teesdale Hotel which has a long tradition with residential hospitality, having been an ancient coaching inn providing accommodation, meals and refreshment. Indeed, the stone archway stands testimony to its long heritage. Today, retaining the best of the old with the best of the modern world, we offer accommodation and service of a very high standard.

Our aim is to be the best hotel and to provide the best holiday accommodation in Upper Teesdale and the North Pennines. So whether it be for a holiday, mini break, special break or bed and breakfast, we hope that you will stay at the Teesdale Hotel. Our location in Middleton-in-Teesdale, near Barnard Castle in the heart of Upper Teesdale provides an excellent base for your stay.

All our rooms have en-suite accommodation plus television, self-dial telephones and tea/coffee making facilities.

We have 10 double/twin rooms, 4 single rooms and a family room. They are all tastefully and individually decorated and are clean, warm and welcoming.

There is also a spacious Residents' Lounge plus a bespoke Dining Room. The hotel is very tastefully decorated and furnished and possesses avery pleasing environment throughout.

We are a family-run hotel and therefore have the philosophy that our guests should be treated in the same friendly and caring manner.
